Writing this isn’t easy.
As I reflect on why I chose to pursue this new direction, I find myself staring at a blurry keyboard through tears.
I’ve lived with Type 2 diabetes for fifteen years.
Somewhere along the way, the life of a chef — long hours, stress, exhaustion, and neglected habits — quietly caught up with me.
Three years ago, I faced my first amputation: my left great toe.
Not long after came a diagnosis that changed everything:
Osteomyelitis.
The message from my doctors was clear and sobering:
If I didn’t make serious changes, this path would likely continue.
They spoke in timelines.
Two to four years.
Progression.
Limitations.
Possibly losing my ability to walk.
⸻
The Question That Followed
It’s a strange moment when reality lands with that kind of weight.
Because after the shock fades, a single question remains:
“Okay… now what?”
I had spent over a decade building my business — a career rooted in movement, energy, physical presence, and endurance.
What happens when the body you’ve relied on begins to change the rules?
What happens when effort alone is no longer enough?
⸻
A Different Kind of Urgency
That moment forced a shift in thinking.
Not driven by ambition…
But by necessity.
I needed something sustainable.
Something adaptable.
Something I could run from a laptop.
Or better yet…
From my iPhone.
So I began to study.
Passive income.
Side hustles.
Leverage.
Mobility.
Digital business models.
And what I discovered was overwhelming:
An ocean of information — much of it contradictory, inflated, or impractical.
There was knowledge everywhere…
But clarity was rare.
⸻
Three Years Later
Fast forward to today.
In March 2026, I will undergo my fourth surgery.
And yes…
I’ve been told I will not be able to walk.
This is not shared for sympathy.
There are countless people facing challenges far greater than mine.
But at sixty years old, moments like this sharpen perspective.
Time feels different.
Priorities change.
The definition of “success” becomes more personal.
⸻
What Truly Matters
I’m not interested in a pity party.
What I want is simple:
To know I built something meaningful.
To know I created something honest.
To leave behind something my children can look at and say:
“He didn’t quit.”
“He adapted.”
“He created value.”
⸻
Why Tsunami101 Exists
Tsunami101 was born from that turning point.
Not from hype.
Not from fantasy.
But from a deeply personal need for:
• Clarity
• Simplicity
• Reality-based guidance
• Sustainable income thinking
Because when life changes the rules…
You don’t need louder promises.
You need a stronger foundation.
